This links-style course features a few trees and rolling fairways, which are forgiving except for the strategically-placed bunkers. Wind is a factor during the spring and summer months, and it will always come from the west causing most of the holes to be played in a crosswind. Seventy-two bunkers are positioned around the course, along with a stream and water coming into play on six holes. The greens are often found to be difficult to putt due to their unnoticeable breaks.

Chardonnay Golf Club is a 27-hole golf facility located in the Napa Valley.
This course is strictly for the use of military personnel and their guests. The course is somewhat open with a scattering of trees on the holes, and hardpan rough bordering the fairways. The average-sized greens are undulating and fast. The signature hole is #16, a 390-yard, par 4, featuring a dogleg right fairway and requiring a tee shot over water. Joe Finger did the routing on the course.

Established in 1892, Mare Island Golf Club is the oldest course west of the Mississippi. In the year 2000, nine new holes were re-introduced by renowned Pacific Rim architect Robin Nelson. Today, Mare Island Golf Club is an 18-hole course designed to challenge golfers of all abilities.
The traditionally designed course by Jack Fleming (who also designed Olympic Club Lake Course) and Bob Baldock opened in 1968 and is playable by golfers of all skill levels as it winds through the gradual elevation changes around the estuary of the Napa River. Water is present on 16 holes but as Tom Sims, General Manager says, "Water is not all that intrusive. There are only two water carries and really the course is very playable from the correct set of tees.”

Nicknamed the ‘Valley of the Moon’ by author Jack London who once lived nearby, Oakmont Golf Club offers you great, family-friendly golf surrounded by picturesque mountains. You can choose from the West course, a par 72 layout built in 1964, and the East course, built in 1973, a highly challenging, par 63 Executive course.
Built in 1993 and designed by Robert Muir Graves, this course features many doglegs that follow the meandering creek. Mature trees line most of the fairways and water comes into play on nine of the holes.
